I am not being coy when I ask with complete brow-furrow:
Can Vegans accept blood transfusions?
Welcome to the reader-participation segment of our program. I encourage you to submit your own baconundrums.

Okay, so not a baconundrun, but I think I have an answer to yours. Yes, I actually gave it some thought.
Conclusion: I think a vegan WOULD indeed accept a blood transfusion (if it was posed as a hypothetical question of course, not a [no irony intended] life and death one.) The reason is that the blood was donated by someone who gave their clear consent to give blood, it did not take another life, and it did not cause undue harm or unnecessary discomfort to the blood donor. Unlike a cow being hooked up to a pumping machine, where they do not have the option to decline a milking.
Now for the 'nundrum. How to erase a blog comment that asnwers too literally a question meant only in fun? "Best to remain silent and thought a fool than post a comment and remove all doubt." Too many college classes on ethics, the nature of morality and the like. Gawd, how embarrassing.
I was and continue to be perplexed--or I wouldn't have asked.
What we really need is a real, live Vegan to weigh in.
I'm still stuck on honey exploiting the bees, so I'm of little use. Thanks for considering this--but I'm not sure about "undue harm or unnecessary discomfort to the blood donor!"
I'm fortunate (?) to have super-highway veins and bleed (ugh, but true)like a stuck pig--nor does everyone have a savvy phlebotomist.
I'm not a vegan, but I play one on TV.
I think vegans would happily receive human blood if the circumstance called for such intravegan measures.
Personally, if you were the donor, I would pray that you recently consumed earth-cheesecake prior to donating.
